Info Session: Spring 2022 NYU Stern Sustainable Business Pitch Competition
Date
RSVP for the Info Session
In the Spring 2022 NYU Stern Sustainable Business Pitch Competition, students will compete for a $15,000 total prize purse by persuading NYC mortgage lenders – major U.S. banks – to take a more proactive role in the decarbonization of NYC’s built environment. Teams will construct innovative, practical, and persuasive proposals that make the business case for a bank to help mortgagees reduce their energy footprint and carbon emissions through property-assessed clean energy (PACE) loans, a newly available, low-cost financing mechanism to help finance energy efficiency retrofits and clean energy projects, and by doing so, reduce the bank’s own carbon footprint in its lending portfolio.
Organized by the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, student teams will have about one month to complete the Competition starting in late February, and will be provided with mentorship and resources from current professionals in related fields. Student teams must include 2 to 4 NYU graduate students, at least 50% of whom must be Stern MBA students. Teams can sign up to participate here.
