Why is Gen-Z So Different? How The Great Rewiring of Childhood (2010-2015) Will Impact Everything

NYU-Stern's own Jonathan Haidt will begin with the case he made in his global bestseller, The Anxious Generation, about how the rapid transition from a "play-based childhood" to a "phone-based childhood" in the years between 2010 and 2015 changed the course of human development around the world. Haidt will then go far beyond the mental health impacts to discuss the damage done by phone-based life to education, attention, creativity, the economy, families, and democracy.
