Join us at NYU Stern on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 for the 3rd Annual Symposium on Innovation & Sustainable Real Estate.

As in past years, the Symposium convenes leaders in industry, policymaking, and academia for objective dialogue and actionable insights into the future of sustainable real estate finance, investment, operations, and technology.

In addition to our regular sessions, the agenda for the 2025 Symposium features several special panels and conversations:

  • Members of the NYC EDC & NYU Stern Building Decarbonization Finance Task Force, including Community Preservation Corporation President Sadie McKeown, will discuss the findings of their groundbreaking report and recommendations for connecting lenders to property owners ahead of Local Law 97 deadlines.
  • Kalin Bracken, Head of Real Estate at the World Economic Forum, will join AFIRE CEO Gunnar Branson and Dr. Sam Chandan to discuss the calls to action from the World Economic Forum’s Framework for Reimagining Real Estate
  • By popular demand, Melissa Román Burch, Chief Operating Officer of the NYC Economic Development Corporation, and Trepp CEO Annemarie DiCola, will reprise last year's discussion on the State of New York City and the EDC's ongoing investments in sustainability and citywide resilience.
  • A new Innovation in Construction Technology session will focus on the technologies, methods, regulation, and financing of Mass Timber building.

The Symposium is presented in partnership with the NYU Office of Sustainability and the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business and will once again take place at NYU Stern’s campus on Washington Square in the heart of New York City. The association partner for this year's program is RICS (the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
