Discover Stern Fall Diversity Weekend

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I have to attend the activities on all three days?
The three-day weekend is designed to expose you to our Full-time MBA program and our unique community. Attendees are required to attend all of the scheduled events. The program begins around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20 and ends around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22. A detailed agenda will be sent to all attendees closer to the event.

2. Will Stern cover my travel, lodging, and other related expenses?

MBA Admissions will cover the conference registration fee for prospective students for the Association of Hispanic and Black Business Students (AHBBS) Conference on Friday, October 21. While some meals are provided, you are responsible for covering the cost of travel and accommodations associated with attending this event.

3. Where can I find more information about hotels for the weekend?

NYU has negotiated a special rate for University-affiliated guests at Club Quarters Downtown and Club Quarters Midtown. Please visit our website for more information.

4. Will the information I provide have any influence on a future application I submit to the Stern School?
The information you provide on this application will only be used in the selection process for the Discover Stern Weekend.

5. If I don’t attend Discover Stern, can I still meet current students and alumni at other events?

You still have an opportunity to interact with current students and alumni at one of the many receptions we host throughout the fall. You can view a complete listing of our recruiting events online. You can also attend an information session and tour. Beginning in late September, you may also sit in on a class through our class visit program.

6. I learned about Discover Stern after the application deadline. Can I still apply and be considered for the program?
Although preference is given to the applications that are received on or before the deadline, you are encouraged to submit the application as soon as possible. It will be considered on a space-available basis.
