How did you find a sense of community and support within Stern?
I made a promise to myself going into the program that I wouldn't shy away from opportunities and experiences that forced me out of my comfort zone. With this mindset, I joined clubs that interested me, both professional and personal. Many of the clubs host various club events that are open to all of the MBAs. I took every opportunity to go to these events and met so many amazing people this way.
How would you describe the culture and community within your class?
I knew Sternies were special when one of my classmates organized weekly zoom happy hour meetups, months before the program even started. Because of this, I entered the class already knowing 20-30 people, which made those first few weeks so much more enjoyable. Most of the people in the program really are interested in bonding and building relationships with one another that go beyond the classroom. I find that people in the program are always planning events and organizing group meetups, so there is never a shortage of ways to socialize and get to know one another.
What is a spot in NYC that is special to you?
As much as it pains me to say this...Times Square - BUT only because that’s where you find all the Broadway theaters! It's so special to have so many options when it comes to seeing shows and I try to see as much live theater as I can. This really is something that doesn't exist anywhere else.
