Target Audience

For students who wish to explore a variety of career opportunities and are looking for a broad-based education with a flexible curriculum. 

These one-year, industry-focused, full-time programs are designed for those looking to deepen their expertise and broaden their exposure in a specific industry. 

Program Duration

A two-year full-time program that runs from September to May each year. 

One-year full-time programs that run from May to the following May.

Work Experience

No work experience is required for admission; however, the average work experience is about 5 years.

 

No work experience is required for admission, however, the average years of work experience for the recent tech cohort is about 5 years, and for the luxury & retail class is about 4 years.

 

Curriculum

 

The program offers a broad curriculum covering a wide range of business subjects. Full-time MBA students can participate in a summer internship, giving them experience in their desired career area.

 

 

The curriculum includes specialized core courses as well as industry focused electives. In lieu of a summer internship, experiential learning projects are built into the program, allowing students to create real-world solutions with partner companies.

 

Networking

 

Allows students to connect with peers, alumni, and industry professionals to build a strong, diverse network over two years. Review our employment report and a list of companies who recently hired Stern grads.

 

 

Offers a strong network of prominent

Flexibility

 

With our flexible core curriculum, about half of the courses in this program are electives. Students can choose up to three out of the over 25 Specializations, and up to 25% of courses can be taken at other NYU graduate schools or international partner institutions.

 

Through specifically designed curricula, the Luxury & Retail and Tech MBA programs provide students with built-in co-curricular programming and experiential projects. Students take business and industry core courses, with the flexibility to take some electives.
