How did you prepare for the program before you began it?

I leveraged pre-MBA programs through both Management Leadership for Tomorrow and the Consortium to prepare for my journey into business school at Stern. Through both programs, I was able to directly build relationships with admissions officers and get access to early recruiting events. By taking advantage of these opportunities, I felt better equipped for what the program entails.

What class/professor has made the deepest impression on you?

Leadership in Organizations with Nate Pettit. Professor Pettit has an incredibly unique teaching style and uses distinct, creative methods to help transform your soft skills into professional strengths.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Be yourself and remember your why. Imposter syndrome is real but don't forget that we are all running our own race. Comparison is the thief of joy!

What advice would you give your first semester self?

Trust the process! The first semester is definitely a whirlwind and has many moments of uncertainty but everything unfolds the way that it is supposed to.

What surprised you the most about Stern?

I was surprised the most by the magnitude of how multicultural Stern is. There is of course a large international presence on campus, but I was really impressed as I began to discover how Stern has curated such a melting pot of so many different backgrounds.

How has being located in the heart of NYC set you up for professional success?

As I am pursuing the luxury retail industry post-MBA, being in the heart of New York City has been an invaluable experience for me. With so many leading companies in my backyard, I have been afforded many opportunities that would not have happened if I had pursued a program in another city. Most recently, I had the fortune of participating in LVMH’s DARE Games, a pitch competition centered around entrepreneurship within the luxury industry.
