What moment made you realize Stern was the home for you?
The first day of the Fertitta Veterans summer program. Looking around, I knew that I would be surrounded by people who understood my background and would help me move toward my professional and personal goals at Stern.
What surprised you the most about Stern?
How tight-knit the community is. While being in the heart of the biggest city in the United States might lead people to prioritizing outside events and friends, Sternies build tight bonds that extend well beyond the classroom.
How would you describe the Stern community?
A group of highly ambitious, team-oriented, and empathetic individuals. At every step of my MBA journey, I knew I had a wave of support behind me from my fellow Sternies.
How has being located in the heart of NYC set you up for professional success?
NYC was always the place I wanted to be. Professionally, there was no other place I wanted to be, making Stern the perfect choice. Stern is enmeshed in almost every major firm in the city and provides daily opportunities for you to interact with alumni.
Who makes up your chosen family at NYU Stern?
The Military Veterans Club has been my core Stern family since our first day together in July. However, the friends I made through the Management Consulting Association and group trips have also become like a second family to me.
