What moment made you realize Stern was the home for you?

During and after the admissions process, it became clear that Stern's Veterans program is unlike anything at the other top business schools. When I saw the genuine care people had for how I would fit into the class, I knew I wouldn't feel at home at any other school.

What class/professor has made the deepest impression on you?

Professor Julian Yeo's core Accounting class during the Fertitta Summer Program was my first introduction to how supportive everyone at Stern would be during the MBA program. He is truly invested in the success of all his students, and especially the Veterans.

What advice would you give your first semester self?

During the laborious recruiting season, take a minute each day to stop and appreciate going to business school in the greatest city on earth. It can be easy to keep your head down while you coffee chat and study for interviews, but these two years will fly by. Don't miss out on the opportunity to be grateful for this phase of life you're in.

What club or organization are you most proud of being a part of?

I am extremely proud to be a member of the Military Veterans Club. As Co-President, I feel honored to help lead a group that makes up about 10% of Stern, and who all have brought such a diverse set of perspectives and experiences with them.

How would you describe the Stern community?

If I had to pick one word to describe the Stern community, it would be "impressive." I'm so thankful God has put me in a place where I'm surrounded by people who challenge and inspire me, and I'm grateful to be building lifelong friendships with them.

How has being located in the heart of NYC set you up for professional success?

I knew that coming to school in NYC, especially at Stern, would be the best decision I could make for my Investment Banking recruiting journey. The proximity to the world’s largest banks and having access to amazing alumni who are willing to do anything they can to help you have exceeded my expectations.

How has Stern prepared you for the recruiting process?

Stern provides the resources, network, and opportunities to make sure you are successful in whatever job you decide to pursue. The formal recruiting process run by the Careers Office and various profession-focused clubs enables even the biggest career switchers to focus on securing an internship.
