Paul Daugherty Joins Professor Arun Sundararajan for an Author Lecture Series Event
—
Paul Daugherty, chief technology & innovation officer at Accenture, joined Professor Arun Sundararajan at NYU Stern for a fireside chat about his new book, Human + Machine: Reimagining Work in the Age of AI. Daugherty shared insights from his experience and research into 1,500 organizations to provide a roadmap for business executives on the right way to apply artificial intelligence.
He pointed to the plus sign in the title as the key point of the book, explaining that the real potential lies in how you combine human capability with machine capability and intelligence. The conversation also covered advice for people at different phases of their career on how to prepare for the future of work.
J.P. Eggers, vice dean of MBA and Graduate Programs, introduced the speakers to kick off the evening, and Alumni Council Member Russell Isaacson (MBA ’07) gave closing remarks before the reception and book signing.
