On May 23rd, NYU alumni and students who will be joining the firm this summer gathered for a night of networking and community building at the annual Deloitte Reception. The event was hosted by Mark Sirower, Deloitte’s “NYU Senior Statesman,” as well as Principal and US leader of the firm’s M&A strategy and commercial diligence practice and an NYU Stern adjunct professor. NYU Stern Dean Raghu Sundaram shared updates with the group about new initiatives at the School along with remarks from Janet Foutty, chair and CEO of Deloitte Consulting, who serves on Stern’s Tech MBA Advisory Board and was the Stern Graduate Convocation speaker this May.

Now in its fifth year, the reception celebrates the strong relationship between the University and Deloitte, which is home to one of NYU’s largest alumni communities, including more than 350 Stern alumni. A testament to this partnership and a highlight of the evening, Dean Sundaram and Ms. Foutty announced a new Deloitte Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship for NYU students, made possible through the generosity of alumni at the firm.
