Career Tech Treks
—
Each year, MBA students learn about career opportunities by visiting corporate offices and hearing about employees' career paths. This semester, over 50 MBA students participated in Career Treks across the country to learn more about pursuing jobs in technology, luxury retail, and entertainment media.
On one of the treks, students travelled to San Francisco from January 3, 2018 to January 5, 2018 to visit technology companies including Tesla, Google, Facebook, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Scoop Technologies, Affirm, Twitter, Slack, Eventbrite, and Airbnb. In another Trek from January 8, 2018 to January 9, 2018 students had the opportunity to travel to Seattle and meet with David Nenke, Director of Prime Photos at Amazon and Jeff Teper, BS '86, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft along with visits to Tableau, Zillow, and Starbucks.
Throughout both Treks, alumni engaged with students through hosting company visits and attending receptions.
