Dr. Susan Greenbaum has worn many hats in the Stern community over the years: student, alumna, School leader, faculty member, and donor. She has inspired countless students over her tenure at NYU and, in recognition of her leadership, Stern alums David Handler (BS '87, MBA '90) and Marc S.

Faculty Releases

Makayla Myers (BS ’24) aims to work in marketing, especially at a luxury goods company, after graduating from NYU Stern Undergraduate College (UC).

Sebastian Suarez (BS ’22) describes himself as “a proactive advocate for social change in the business world.” While applying to college, he was drawn to NYU Stern’s sustainable business program and the social impact curriculum.

In the last century, NYU alumni have founded and built industry-defining companies including Bloomberg, Def Jam Records, Home Depot, Fairchild Semiconductor, Southwest Airlines, Symbol Technologies, The Renco Group, TransPerfect, and the W. R. Berkley Corporation among many others.

A strong devotion to his campus community led alumnus and NYU Trustee Associate Bruce Berger (BS '66), along with his wife Susan, to consider planned giving among their continued history of philanthropy toward NYU Stern.

Providing ways for Stern students and alumni to connect with each other for career insights and to stay involved with the School is a key priority at NYU Stern.

Amanda Parker, associate dean for Development and Alumni Relations at NYU Stern, is a self-described storyteller and match-maker.

Chavon Sutton is a senior investment director in the Sustainable & Impact Investing Research Group at Cambridge Associates, where she conducts manager research and works with institutional clients to build sustainability- and impact-focused portfolios, a role she is passionate about.

The summer of 2021 will be remembered for many things, with public health, climate, socioeconomic and geopolitical issues looming large in the headlines. But for scores of future NYU Stern undergraduates, it will be remembered as the season of hope.
