Join NYU Stern Professor Suzy Welch for an enriching program derived from her renowned "Becoming You" methodology, designed to help participants uncover the answer to one of life's toughest questions: “What should I do with my life?” Professor Welch will guide participants through the discovery of their core aptitudes and professional potential. Using two innovative digital tools developed in the Becoming You Lab at the NYU Stern Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing, Professor Welch will provide a structured approach to understanding your cognitive and emotional aptitudes, as well as your fit with leadership roles. By the end of three hours, participants will leave with a clearer sense of their unique abilities and a strategic roadmap for aligning their talents with meaningful opportunities.

All attendees will receive a copy of Professor Welch's new book, Becoming You: The Proven Method for Crafting Your Authentic Life and Career.

*In her last talk in fall 2024, Professor Welch helped alumni excavate their values. This workshop will build upon those learnings and help alumni determine their aptitudes. The values workshop is not a prerequisite for this aptitudes workshop.

**This Lifelong Learning workshop is being offered during Reunion 2025. All alumni are welcome to attend; you do not need to be in a Reunion year in order to register. Please note that you will register through the Reunion website, but should only select the "Suzy Welch" workshop at check-out. 

Speaker Bio

An award-winning NYU Stern School of Business professor, tech entrepreneur,
and three-time New York Times best-selling author, Suzy Welch is known for
imparting warmth and wisdom about business and culture, captivating an
enthusiastic and expanding audience.

Over the course of her multifaceted 40-year career, Professor Welch has been a
crime reporter in Miami, a consultant at Bain & Co., and a columnist for O: The
Oprah Magazine. A graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Business
School, she has been (and remains) a contributor to the Today Show and an
op-ed contributor to the Wall Street Journal. But Professor Welch’s greatest
passion is in the classroom at NYU Stern School of Business, where she teaches
two acclaimed classes, “Becoming You: Crafting the Authentic Life You Want
and Need,” and “Managing with Purpose.” Professor Welch is also the director
of the NYU | Stern Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing, a community of
management scholars and practitioners committed to advancing the discovery
of authentic meaning.

Professor Welch serves on the board of the publicly traded home services
giant, ANGI, and Humane World for Animals. She is an active supporter of the
Good Food Institute, an alternative proteins think tank, and The Central Park
Conservancy. She has a large family, including the most perfect grandchildren
in the history of humanity, and lots of dogs. She lives in New York.
