About Lillian Kim:
Lillian Kim joined the PhD program in Management and Organizations at NYU Stern in 2023. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a B.A. in Psychology (with Honors) from Amherst College and worked as a Research Associate in the field of Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
Her research interests broadly revolve around diversity and inequality, specifically the psychological processes and mechanisms that contribute to them (or lack thereof). She is currently working on research projects understanding how to best harness organizations' rhetoric regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion, understanding whether employees' shared perceptions regarding diversity in an organization could lead to divergent, unexpected consequences, and exploring the role of dominant group members in the maintenance of inequality.
