About Aastha Chadha:
Aastha Chadha joined the Ph.D. program in Management and Organizations at NYU Stern in 2019. She is interested in studying diversity within organizations as well as social identities such as race and gender. In particular, she is interested in the dynamics of intersecting identities particularly race and gender as well as intergroup behavior such as allyship within organizations. In current projects, she is exploring the motivations behind majority group members’ allyship behaviors, the unintended consequences of women managing competing gender and organizational norms through impression management, and how men and women perceive mentorship and sponsorship differentially.
Aastha received a Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology from Tufts University in 2017. After graduation, she worked as a research coordinator at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
