Tech Leadership Lab

Tech Leadership Lab

Explore leading-edge tech leadership topics through the Lab’s unique mix of talks by global digital leaders and informal discussions that transcend conventional formats, building connections and providing insight into what makes today’s tech leaders succeed.

The Fubon Center’s Tech Leadership Lab is a new collaboration between the Center and two MBA student clubs, the Entrepreneurship and Startup Association (ESA) and the Stern Tech Association (STA).

Each year, the leadership of the Center and the student leadership of ESA and STA identify one or more themes to explore — leading-edge topics of active student interest that motivate discussion and inquiry beyond the classroom. Senior business executives, entrepreneurs, VCs and government leaders then participate in the Lab, speaking about one of the year's themes to club members and other Stern stakeholders, then engaging in smaller group discussions in the weeks that follow.

Students reflect and analyze through this journey, considering and reviewing the speaker’s experience and vision more deliberately. Our departure from the traditional arms-length university presentation setting seeds mentorship for the next generation of tech leaders and catalyzes a more nuanced student understanding of influence and success.

The topics for 2024-25 are:

  • Tech Product Management When the Product is Artificial Intelligence
  • The Leadership Journey in Later-Stage Tech Startups

The speakers for Fall 2024 will be announced in October. If you are interested in participating, please contact one or more of the organizers below:
