Initiative Inaugural Event
On Wednesday, May 1st, the Initiative hosted its inaugural event at NYU Stern's Henry Kaufman Management Center. We were honored to welcome alumni John Paulson (BS '78) and Sara Eisen (Gallatin '06) as our main speakers of the evening. Together they explored the highlights of Mr. Paulson's career --- including his start at NYU Stern --- as well as the current state of the fields of Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Financial Distress.
We were also fortunate to welcome Dean Sundaram, who officially announced the Initiative, as well as expounded on its intent to offer NYU students a highly competitive education in the alternative investment space.
Professor Edward Altman, the Initiative's co-founder alongside Mr. Paulson, was in attendance, as well as Initiative Co-Directors Professor Matthew Richardson and Professor Dan Kamensky.
