On June 27, 2024 the Initiative hosted its inaugural Restructuring Symposium in collaboration with the Creditor Rights Coalition and Loan Syndications and Trading Association at the John A. Paulson Auditorium.

The 2024 Restructuring Symposium brought together leading academics, practitioners, investors and market participants to discuss the evolving strategies of distressed investors, the convergence and/or divergence of private credit in the distressed space, and where the next opportunities lie.

The Agenda for the conference included:

Keynote Conversation with Tony Yoseloff (Davidson Kempner) moderated by Sujeet Indap (Financial Times)

Evolving Strategies Panel. This Panel discussed how sponsors, CLOs and private credit parties are responding to, and affected by the latest restructuring tactics and what to expect going forward with moderator, Harvard Zhang (Reorg) joined by Vince Buccola (Wharton), Mike Ginnings (Angelo Gordon), Scott Greenberg (Gibson Dunn), Steve Zelin (PJT), & Stephen Zide (Dechert).

The Next Opportunity with Bruce Richards (Marathon Asset Management) discussed the opportunity set moderated by Sonali Basak (Bloomberg News).

Impact of Private Credit Panel. This Panel discussed how private credit is converging and diverging from public markets and what to expect going forward with moderator Stephen Boyko (Proskauer) joined by Nicole Drapkin (Blue Owl), Rony Ma (KKR) & Sam Goldworm (WhiteHorse Capital).
