She started the company in 2000 and grew it into the largest online bookseller in China before taking it public on the New York Stock Exchange in December 2010. Yu received an MBA from NYU Stern and has won numerous awards, including recognition as one of the 10 Most Influential Businesswomen in Asia by The Wall Street Journal in 2006 and one of the 10 Best Women CEOs by China Entrepreneur Magazine in 2018.

J. Frank Li, PhD

Dr. Li is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Stanford Digital Economy Lab. His research focuses on the effects of technological innovation and adoption on corporate performance, labor market, and entrepreneurial activities. He is also interested in measuring firm-level idiosyncratic uncertainty and its impact on investment and labor reallocation.
