The Stern Campus Greening Initiative (SCGI) won "green" at the national Net Impact Green Challenge, an event that recognizes and rewards members of the Net Impact group who are working on tangible projects that make a positive environmental impact on their company, campus or community.

NYU Entrepreneurs Awarded $150k in Stern's 9th Annual Business Plan Competition

More than $150,000 in seed money and in-kind support was awarded to the winners of the 9th Annual NYU Stern Business Plan Competition. The three winning teams, each lead by NYU students and alumni, were chosen by a panel of seasoned business owners and private investors after successfully pitching their new venture ideas. Taking top honors were business concepts that mirror marketplace trends such as leveraging social networking sites to create unique product offerings and using innovative business models to combat intractable global social issues, including poverty and poor access to quality healthcare.

NYU Stern and Tribeca Film Festival Debut New Undergrad Business Course for Aspiring Producers

New York University Stern School of Business and the Tribeca Film Festival have joined forces to offer “Convergence and Cinema at the Tribeca Film Festival,” a new course for undergraduate business students. Offered through Stern’s Entertainment, Media and Technology (EMT) Program, the course will provide students with access to leaders in the entertainment industry and a deeper understanding of the impact multimedia and new distribution channels will have on filmmaking.
