Current two-year Full-time MBA student Phan Hoang (MBA '22) column: "It’s My Stern: The ROI Of Building Relationships."

Poets and Quants logo
Excerpt from Poets & Quants--  ""Here at Stern, where I’m earning my MBA, IQ + EQ (intelligence and emotional quotients) is a core value. Sternies are living testaments to these qualities. Not only does the entire application require a minimum of 2 EQ endorsements, your essays and interviews need to showcase them as well. Stern also has a smaller cohort (our class size is 320). This creates a more tight-knit community; you’re not just another face nor number. Being in the most diverse city in the world, it attracts people who crave diversity or embody it. EQ is not something that’s desired at Stern, it’s necessary."

Poets and Quants logo
Excerpt from Poets & Quants-- “If you’re Stern, you’ve got to like where things are headed in the full-time MBA. For a bonus, the new class set a school record for average Graduate Management Admission Test score, putting Stern in rarefied company in that key metric, too."

"The 'applicant-centric approach' will continue in the next admissions cycle, Rios says, noting that ‘the combination of a more seamless process for applicants and continued strong demand for our rigorous program’ led to the 8% increase in applications and the enrollment of 360 students in the Class of 2023, up from 317 last year and even surpassing the 359 who enrolled in fall 2019.’”

Poets and Quants logo
Excerpt from Poets & Quants--  "NYU, as a wider university, houses some of the most artistic and creative collectives in the world. I believe this “poet DNA” organically embeds itself into NYU Stern’s more quant, data-driven curriculum. Many aspects of business today tend to be mundane or outdated and require the type of creativity or out-of-the-box thinking that Stern provides its students to foster innovation. As I began to explore different MBA programs, I was keen on finding a school that challenges the status quo. Stern’s belief to embrace change, if not create it, immediately resonated with me."

The way the program is structured (meets one weekend a month), I was able to maintain a work life balance and allot time throughout the month to work on class projects and assignments."

Assistant Dean of MBA Admissions Lisa Rios podcast interview: "Are You Interested in NYU Stern?"

Accepted_Logo_190x145
Excerpt from Accepted.com-- "So the two-year, full-time MBA program is really geared towards helping folks make a transition in their career and helping elevate them to that next phase of their professional life. For some folks it’s a career pivot, and then for others, it’s folks that are looking to build out a skill set so that they can continue to move up the proverbial ladder, as I’m sure you’ve seen as you’re connecting with prospective students.

The thing that I love about Stern is the experiential components of the program: the fact that the students have the opportunity to put into action what they’re learning in the classroom with real problems and providing solutions for real organizations. You’ll see this through our experiential learning suite of options. I know you spoke with us last year when we launched our Change:Studio which has a number of opportunities for students to put some solutions into practice for real organizations."
