2nd Roundtable on Corporate Political Accountability
Date
A collaborative group comprising faculty and deans from business and law schools, as well as other leaders in business, law and the nonprofit sectors, convened at NYU this February to engage in a discussion about “Corporate Political Accountability: The Importance of Educating Future Business Leaders Beyond Citizens United.” Participants addressed a number of topics including how corporations and business school deans can demonstrate greater leadership on corporate political engagement and accountability, and developing a model of executive statesmanship in today’s b-school curriculum.
Based on the recommendations of the first such roundtable discussion hosted in 2013, NYU Stern piloted a new course this spring entitled, “Corporate Political Engagement and Executive Statesmanship,” co-taught by Professors Bruce Buchanan and Maria Patterson.
The 2015 roundtable was organized by Baruch College; NYU’s Stern School of Business and School of Law; the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at Wharton; and the Center for Corporate Political Accountability.
