What do you like best about Stern?
What I value most about Stern is how it prepares me for real accounting work, not just textbooks. The curriculum aligns directly with CPA exam preparation while professors bring current industry practices into every class. The tight-knit Stern community, from faculty to the incredibly supportive alumni network, creates an environment where everyone is invested in your success, both academically and professionally.
Why did you choose to attend Stern?
I chose Stern for three key reasons: its location in New York City provides unmatched access to top accounting firms and professionals; the curriculum is specifically designed to prepare students for the CPA exam while building practical skills needed in real accounting roles; and the extensive alumni network opens doors to mentorship and career opportunities that are simply unparalleled. Being in the financial capital of the world while learning from faculty with Big Four and industry experience means I'm not just studying accounting, but I'm preparing to excel in it from day one.

What do you like best about Stern?
What I like best about Stern is the faculty and the people. The professors are incredibly accomplished and knowledgeable, and I have been exposed to perspectives and teaching styles that I had never experienced before. Classes feel engaging and dynamic, and I genuinely look forward to coming to class, participating in discussions, and interacting with both my professors and peers.
I also really appreciate my classmates. Everyone is supportive, kind, and motivated, and we are all in a similar place academically and professionally. There is a strong sense of collaboration, and it feels like we are working together toward shared goals rather than competing with one another.
Why did you choose to attend Stern?
I chose Stern because of the incredible professional opportunities, resources, and support available to students. NYU offers extensive career assistance and exposure that helps students grow both academically and professionally, and that was very important to me.
I was also excited about the faculty, and they have exceeded my expectations. Additionally, I was drawn to Stern’s non-traditional campus and its location in New York City. I knew the city environment would push me to step outside my comfort zone, try new things, and put myself out there. It has been a refreshing change from my undergraduate campus, and I am so glad I committed to Stern!

What do you like best about Stern?
What I appreciate most about Stern is the strong sense of community and support from both faculty and students. The professors bring invaluable hands-on experience into the classroom, and the diversity within the student body fosters a dynamic learning environment. Throughout the academic year, Stern also organizes multiple events that allow students to network and gain hands-on experience within the field, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application
