Course Feedback

In fall 2022, the Office of the Provost announced that NYU Course Evaluations would be renamed Course Feedback and moved to a more modern and mobile-friendly new platform called Blue. 

NYU has updated the questions, and is continuing to review them. In addition to Stern's standard overall questions (course, instructor, challenge), you will see a new set of more specific questions

New Course Feedback Questions

COURSE Questions:
(1) How clear were the goals of the course? 
(2) How effective were the assignments in helping you learn?
(3) To what extent were diverse voices and perspectives integrated into this course? 
(4) On average, how many hours per week did you spend on course-related work outside of class?
(5) Is there anything else you would like to share about the COURSE?

INSTRUCTOR Questions:
(6) How clearly did the instructor communicate what was expected of you in this course? 
(7) How effective was the instructor in explaining challenging concepts and/or methods?
(8) How helpful was the feedback you received in improving your work?
(9) How inclusive did you find this class environment towards people of diverse backgrounds?
(10) Is there anything else you would like to share with the INSTRUCTOR?

Stern Overall Questions 
(11) What is your overall evaluation of the course? 
(12) What is your overall evaluation of the instructor?
(13) To what extent do you agree or disagree that the course was intellectually stimulating?

Other Notes
Evaluation Period
a. Undergraduate classes will follow NYU’s undergraduate evaluation periods:
     i. Full-semester courses will open two weeks before the last class and end at 11:59 p.m. on Reading Day.
     ii. 6-week (summer) and 7-week (fall or spring) courses will open one week before the last class and close at 11:59 p.m. the day before the last class.
     iii. 3-week courses (summer/J-term) will open four days before the last day of class and close at 11:59 p.m. the day before the last class.

b. Graduate classes:  CFs will open after the last class and end four days later. CFs for Day 1st half classes will open after the 6th meeting for once a week classes and the 12th meeting for twice a week classes.

c. EMBA Classes: CFs will open after the last class and end seven days later.

Grade rosters will not be open until the evaluation period is over and CF results will not be available to the instructors until grades are submitted.
