NYU Stern Hosts A Health Tech Alumni Panel To Explore Industry Trends
—
More and more MBA students are interested in pursuing careers in the growing health tech space. To give students the opportunity to learn more about career paths and the trends, unique opportunities and challenges within this area, Corporate Relations hosted a panel on April 22 moderated by Prof Sunita Desai with Stern alumni that included John Breen (MBA 2010), of Kyu Collective, Risa Fisher (MBA 1996) of Progyny, Divya Iyer (MBA 2013) of GoodRx, and Hana Dembe (MBA 2018) of Flatiron Health. The panelists touched on a range of topics from how the health tech landscape has changed in the past five years and what is likely to happen next to AI and personalized medicine and how health tech can address disparities in our healthcare system that the pandemic shed light on.
Students also had a chance to learn about recruiting tips and what they can do right now to set themselves up for success in a health tech career.
“Online ‘Zoom Room’ panels like these make it easy for students, including prospective students, to hear from a diverse group of alumni working in a particular area,” said Kate Gregory, senior director, Corporate Relations “With the uptick in interest in health tech, it is a great opportunity for students to hear firsthand from alumni about key trends and opportunities.”
