Biography

Felix Montag joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Economics in July 2024.

His work explores topics such as the effect of mergers or trade policy on consumers and workers, as well as competition and tax pass-through in markets with informational frictions. His primary field is industrial organization and most of his research intersects with adjacent fields, such as public economics, international trade, or labor economics.

Before joining NYU Stern, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

He received his BSc in Economics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, his MSc in Economics and Management from the London School of Economics, his MRes in Economics from the University College London, and his PhD in Economics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.
