The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business Annual Practice Forum is an industry-leading event convening investor and corporate sustainability professionals for an exchange of the latest research and insights on sustainability driving financial performance. The full-day program features new research findings, panel discussions on implementation, candid conversations with executives, and interactive sessions to apply learnings. Participants gain practical tools and frameworks to better understand and apply value creation levers in sustainability.

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, the NYU Stern Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing will host its first Annual Convening, entitled “Purpose and Flourishing in the 5-Generation Workplace.”

NYU-Stern's own Jonathan Haidt will begin with the case he made in his global bestseller The Anxious Generation, about how the rapid transition from a "play-based childhood" to a "phone-based childhood" in the years between 2010 and 2015 changed the course of human development around the world. Haidt will then go far beyond the mental health impacts to discuss the damage done by phone-based life to education, attention, creativity, the economy, families, and democracy.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, NYU Stern Executive MBA: Washington, DC will host the next NYU Stern Thought Leaders Series event at NYU DC. This event, entitled “Gen Z and Generational Divides in Business” will feature a dynamic and timely conversation with NYU Stern Professor Jonathan Haidt. 

On Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14, the NYU Stern Altman-Paulson Initiative on Credit & Distressed Opportunities will co-host the 2025 Credit Opportunities Symposium titled "Dynamically Changing Credit Markets:

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance hosted its 3rd Annual Symposium on Innovation and Sustainable Real Estate, in partnership with the NYU Office of Sustainability and the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business.

On Wednesday, February 5, NYU Stern's Fubon Center for Technology, Business and Innovation will host a Tech Leadership Lab talk with Chad Dickerson, CEO of Etsy from 2011 to 2017, to understand the leadership journey in later-stage tech startups, how executives adapt to rapid scaling, and what separates the eventual winners from the rest.

On Tuesday, February 4, NYU Stern's Center for Global Economy and Business will host the Spring Economic Outlook Forum featuring Tricia Hazelwood, UBS; Subadra Rajappa, Société Générale; and Nathan Sheets, Citigroup. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Venky Venkateswaran, director, Center for Global Economy and Business.

On Tuesday, February 4, NYU Stern’s Center for Business and Human Rights will host a book reception celebrating the release of Conscience Incorporated: Pursue Profits While Protecting Human Rights, by Professor Michael Posner, the Center’s Director.

On Monday, January 27, NYU Stern's Fubon Center for Technology, Business and Innovation will host a Fireside Chat featuring Markus Herrmann Chen, Co-Founder and Managing Director, China Macro Group. On November 19th at 5:00 pm EDT, the NYU Stern Business & Society Program hosted the 2024 Ashok C. Sani Lecture titled: "The AI Dilemma: Navigating the Road Ahead," featuring tech ethicist Tristan Harris. Co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology, Harris discussed AI's societal impact with NYU Stern professor Jonathan Haidt.

On Friday, November 15, NYU Stern's Center for Global Economy and Business hosted the David K. Backus Memorial Lecture with guest Andy Atkeson, Stanley M. Zimmerman Professor of Economics and Finance at UCLA.

On Tuesday, November 12, NYU Stern's Center for Global Economy and Business and Volatility and Risk Institute hosted a talk by Roberto Perli, Manager of the System Open Market Account, New York Fed.
