Endless Frontier Labs by the Numbers

Professor Deepak Hegde speaking at the 2024 EFL Showcase

Newer to the NYC-based accelerator scene, Endless Frontier Labs (EFL) at NYU Stern hit the ground running! EFL already outpaces peer accelerators at its five-year mark.

Under the leadership of Founder and Director Professor Deepak Hegde, EFL attracts early-stage startups from around the world seeking to commercialize scientific and technological breakthroughs. Plus, Stern MBAs get a front row seat providing business development support to the startups through a companion MBA course. In fact, a number of Stern grads ultimately get hired by their startups full time. Below are the numbers since EFL launched in 2018:

$1.81B in capital raised by 116 EFL startups
$21.4 million raised on average by EFL startups during or after the program, far exceeding thresholds in other accelerators
$5.04B collective valuation from 89 graduates alone
45.9% of EFL graduate startups led by women founders, a record high among established accelerators
183 EFL startups to date
125+ mentors across business, financial, and scientific sectors
74 MBAs enrolled in the 2024 companion course, skyrocketing from 23 initially
83% of EFL startups successfully raised a round either during/after graduating from the program, outpacing peers like YCombinator & Techstars
