What to Do Now
Congratulations on your acceptance to the NYU Stern MBA program! On behalf of the Office of Career Development (OCD), we want to welcome you to the Stern community and we are very excited to partner with you during your time at Stern. I will be the OCD liaison for all incoming One-Year MBA Students this year and will be sending you frequent updates throughout the spring and summer.
Below you'll find important information regarding career development activities that will be taking place in the coming weeks. We call this series of workshops and career development activities IGNITE, which all full-time Stern MBA students must complete upon enrollment. Detailed instructions and important documents have been added to NYU Classes.
Please take a few minutes now to review the information below and be sure to log in to NYU Classes soon to get started. Before you begin, be sure to have your Stern email address readily available.

CAREER PROGRAMMING
ASSESSMENT
Assess Your Strengths: Part of your career development journey here at Stern will be to understand your strengths, areas in which you excel, and roles that bring you happiness and fulfillment. Understanding yourself will ultimately help you find a career where you will thrive.
RESUME PROCESS
Before we get the chance to meet with you, here are 3 steps to complete by March 29th:
INTRODUCTORY CAREER MEETING
After you receive feedback from a coach on your resume, you should make any necessary changes and then schedule a meeting with a Career Coach. During this intake meeting, we will take time to learn about your career goals, background and ways we can work together on your career exploration. We will also review your updated resume and make final edits, if necessary.
UPCOMING CAREER PROGRAMMING
In addition to the resume review process and intake meetings, you will participate in several in-person IGNITE career workshops throughout the summer.
For a full list of workshops, please visit NYU Classes under the IGNITE Course and click on the ‘Syllabus’ tab.
Please continue to check your email in the months ahead for additional information from the Office of Career Development. In the meantime, feel free to contact the Office of Career Development directly at ocd@stern.nyu.edu with any questions.
