Career Initiatives

The Undergraduate Professional Development and Career Education (PDCE) team offers a variety of programs throughout the academic year to provide you with critical resources for professional development and career exploration. These programs expose you to a broad range of industries and companies. PDCE's programs also connect you with industry leaders and Stern alumni who provide guidance to help inform the career decision-making process. PDCE's professional programs complement the programs offered at the Wasserman Center for Career Development.

Stern Talks

Stern Talks are short, informative presentations from alumni and professionals who work in a multitude of industries, including marketing, consulting, entertainment, finance, sustainability, and technology.

Spotlight Sessions

Firm Spotlight Sessions hosted by the Professional Development & Career Education (PDCE) team are an opportunity for Stern undergraduate students to gain insight into our partner firms, their recruitment cycles, current opportunities, and network with professionals at the firm. Sessions are held throughout the fall and spring semester.

Training the Street

Training the Street is a one-day session run in partnership with Wells Fargo that helps you learn the ins and outs of financial modeling. This corporate valuation seminar will train you on Wall Street valuation methodologies that will help in preparation for investment banking interviews and internships.

Consulting Bootcamp

The Consulting Bootcamp breaks down the steps needed for you to be successful in consulting case interviews. Sessions are held weekly and are led by MBA students with industry experience.

Professionals in Residence (PiR)

Professionals in Residence is a program for first-years and sophomores that brings industry professionals to Stern for short one-on-one appointments. During these meetings, professionals will answer questions about their job and careers in the industry.

Alumni Career Engagement (ACE)

The Alumni Career Engagement program provides an opportunity for you to network with and receive personalized career guidance from alumni. Alumni meet with you in small groups to share advice on careers and life after Stern.

Conferences and Competitions

The Conferences and Competitions fund provides opportunities for you to attend industry conferences that take place during the academic year. You also have the option of applying for funding to attend conferences around the University, including NYU Stern MBA conferences. Access the application for funding on Stern Life.
