Why did you decide to pursue the focused one-year MBA program?

I had clarity on my goals and what I wanted to take from this academic year. I wanted to up-level my technical skills and get a broader perspective on other tech-oriented industries beyond fintech.

How did you find a sense of community and support within Stern?

It was simply fascinating! Since day 1 when I started my application, to the day I joined my international orientation, the community was a clear reflection of the IQ+EQ values of Stern. They were available and supportive all the way through, and continue to be (including faculty, career development, other MBA students, and alumni).

How would you describe the culture and community within your class?

My cohort is insanely smart, fun and inclusive! We come from all around the globe, and we have hosted numerous cultural-related events to share and get a taste of our different backgrounds.

What was your favorite class at Stern?

My favorite class has been Leadership with Nate Pettit. I came into the course with no clear expectations and came out with so, so, so many takeaways applicable to my daily personal and professional life.

What has been a highlight of your Stern experience?

The people. They are so awesome and committed to spending time together. A highlight of my year was when we managed to organize a Poconos trip where 50 out of 57 people in my cohort showed up!

Why did you choose NYU Stern?

The 1-year tech MBA was exactly what I was looking for, but mainly the core values pulled me in like a magnet! I am an extremely emotional person (and hopefully have acquired technical skills throughout my career :D), so the IQ+EQ profile they were seeking was something I clicked with.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Don't get too scared about the quantitative evaluation (I certainly was!). Stern values diversity, uniqueness and the intrinsic values each individual can bring to the table, so just be yourself and don't be afraid to put yourself out there!

How has Stern’s location in NYC impacted your experience?

NYC is such a wild city, full of professional opportunities and where there is something happening all the time (in some ways it reminds me of home, you go anywhere at any time and there are new people to meet!). I love attending business school in New York.
