Executive MBA Alumna Named VP of Financial Operations at NYU
Stephanie E. Pianka, graduate of the Executive MBA Class of 2003, has been appointed Vice President for Financial Operations and Treasurer at NYU.
In her new position, Stephanie oversees the Controller’s Office and its related functions, as well as the Treasurer’s Office. She will work to transform the University’s existing business systems and processes into a state-of-the-art set of global customer-service oriented business information and support services.

Stephanie’s prior experience includes financial operations and international business settings -- in startups, technology companies, and large, complex organizations. She previously held the position of Vice President, Finance – Global Operations for Avaya, Inc., a privately held global provider of telecommunication solutions. Earlier in her career, she was Chief Financial Officer for SkyWay Systems, a technology startup. Prior to that, she worked at GE for fourteen years, capping her time there as Managing Director – Operations for GE Capital Financial Guaranty Insurance Company. Stephanie also currently sits on the boards of the Brooklyn Music School and Phoenix Footwear Group.
Stephanie holds a BA degree in computer science from SUNY, and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
