Andre Koo Technology & Entrepreneurship MBA students hit the ground running with an experiential learning course focused on the NYC tech ecosystem. This first semester of the Tech MBA program consists of company engagements, guest lectures and skills-based workshops which teach students how to determine business needs worth solving, to validate insights with data, and to design products that can feasibly be built and launched.
The NYC Immersion is an active, hands-on, experiential introduction to the NYC Tech ecosystem. This course provides a broad context of the various sub-verticals such as NYC-based startups and incubators, traditional tech organizations and Venture Capital firms. Students will be exposed to subject matter experts from industry and academia via skill-based workshops and company engagements.
The course will culminate with a deep dive into a project with an industry partner. The case will provide students with the opportunity to begin applying their knowledge and skill to solve a real client challenge, interact with the client and provide them with actionable recommendations.
The NYC Immersion is a required component of the Tech MBA program, and only students in the Tech MBA program are eligible to participate. Current students will receive more information throughout the program.
