Kim has extensive and diverse corporate, career coaching and leadership experience. Prior to joining Stern in 2022, she led career coaching, employer relations and operations teams at the Gabelli School of Business, Fordham University. Before pivoting into career services, she spent 20 years in corporate marketing roles including Director of Multicultural Marketing at Verizon, Director of Brand and Partnership Marketing at Avis Rent a Car and Brand Manager at Kraft Foods and Mondelez. She is thrilled to share all that she learned as a marketer/corporate executive and hiring manager with the next generation of corporate leaders.

Genevieve has over 10 years of experience as a people leader and as a career and leadership development expert.  She enjoys using design thinking to lead others through the process of achieving meaningful careers.  Prior to joining Stern in 2020, she led coaching, career education and employer relations teams at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development after a pivot from K12 education and social impact work.

Fatim Lelenta (she/her/hers)

Senior Associate Director of Career Coaching

Fatim’s career has always included working with graduate/professional students. She began her career journey as a Career Counselor at Fordham University where she supported graduate students in the school of education, arts and sciences, and alumni. She then came to NYU where she initially served as  Assistant Director of Graduate Career Development at the Wasserman Center for Career Development. In her role, she supported over 20,000 graduate students (Masters and PhDs) across the university. During her time at NYU Wasserman, she designed and facilitated peer coaching programs, presentations at professional career development conferences, and wrote career articles for NACE and NCDA.

Education: B.A. in Psychology from Purchase College, M.S in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University, M.S in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting at NYU School of Professional Studies

Associate Director of Career Coaching 

As a two-time NYU alumna, Laura has returned home to join the Stern Careers Team. After graduating from NYU Gallatin, Laura joined the morning television program, Good Morning America as an Associate Producer and was part of the team that won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Morning Program. She later returned to NYU Stern to make a career change from broadcast journalism and joined BMW of North America through their highly competitive Management Associate program (rotational). Over a 27-year career, Laura held leadership positions in sales, operations, marketing, strategy and human resources. Some career highlights include being a member of the original launch team that brought a quirky automotive brand to the United States. The company had purchased the iconic British brand, MINI, and formed an elite team to establish the retail network and the customer experience that would become its hallmark moving forward.

Laura spearheaded a company-wide performance strategy to partner with dealerships around the country on process improvement and profitability initiatives for both the BMW and MINI brands. She also created a national coaching program for retailers, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the retail automotive industry. It was through this work that Laura became a certified professional coach and began career coaching engagements with high-potential managers and executives who were interested in elevating their leadership skills. Laura became known as an optimistic problem solver and loves to tackle seemingly unsolvable situations to find a solution. She is excited to return to Stern to work with students to discover their strengths and formulate their own career strategy.

Nourine Bhimani(she/her/hers)

Associate Director of Career Coaching 

Nourine is a first-generation immigrant and international professional with over a decade of diverse experience in education, marketing, communications, banking, and social work. Most recently, she served as the inaugural Assistant Director of Graduate Experiential Programs at Princeton University, where she developed and expanded experiential learning opportunities for graduate students, overseeing six unique fellowship programs. Nourine specializes in supporting international student career success, helping students navigate cultural nuances while recognizing their unique strengths. Prior to joining Stern, she worked in various higher education institutions, including the NYU SPS Wasserman Center for Career Development, where she received the NYU International Student Solidarity Award in 2023 for her initiatives supporting international students. Her coaching approach emphasizes self-discovery, exploration, and skill development, empowering students to thrive in today’s multicultural workplace.

Director of Career Education

Lindsay joined Stern’s Careers team in 2015. She serves as a coach for both the full-time and part-time MBA programs where she has acquired extensive experience supporting international students and can leverage her passion for helping students find professional fulfillment. Additionally, one of Lindsay’s primary responsibilities is managing the Careers team’s IGNITE program. Prior to Stern, Lindsay worked at NYU’s Wasserman Center for Career Development and The Wharton School at UPenn in roles focused on international education. 

Education: Lindsay has an M.S.Ed. in Intercultural Communication from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in Spanish Studies from the University of Delaware.

Career Coach

Allison is a Career Coach on the Full-time MBA Team. She has 20+ years of experience in the career coaching and recruiting space. Allison spent 15+ years at Stern as a Senior Associate Director of Career Coaching on the Full-time MBA Team and the Working Professionals Team, where she developed and delivered workshops on all aspects of the career search and provided individual and group coaching. Additionally, Allison worked in Admissions at Stern interviewing MBA applicants and served as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Steinhardt teaching their Career Counseling Course. Prior to Stern, Allison worked as a Recruiter for J. Walter Thompson (now Wunderman Thompson) and in Business Development at Johnson & Johnson’s online media company called BabyCenter.com. Allison has specialized training in numerous career and personality assessments. 

Education: Allison holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Counseling from Boston University.

Rachel Scherr (she/her/hers)

Career Coach, International Students

Rachel is a global career development expert and higher education leader bringing 15 years of expertise to her career coaching. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Dean of Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies, where the graduate student community is over 50% international. From 2008 - 2012, Rachel worked at Stern in MBA International Programs before moving to the Careers team to coach and manage programming for international MBA students. Her work with international students has been recognized by the National Association of Colleges & Employers and the MBA Career Services & Employers Alliance 

Education: Rachel holds a Master’s Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs with a focus on international higher education from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Business and Marketing from Muhlenberg College with a concentration in International Business from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

Before coming to Stern, Nik worked in Publishing focused on constructing new organizational methods and promoting diverse writers within the industry. Currently, Nik is a liaison for students and coaches to connect.
