In collaboration with the Foundation for Social Change and the United Nations, NYU Stern presents the Global Conference for Social Change: Making the Business Case for Sustainability. This year’s event will honor the 2012 “Leaders of Change,” who exemplify how creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation can solve environmental problems and drive profitability. Special honoree Livia Giuggioli Firth, founder of Green Carpet Challenge, will be recognized for her work in the sustainable fashion arena. Conference speakers include Frederic Roze, USA president of L’Oréal; Steve Ells, CEO and founder of Chipotle; Tom Szaky, CEO and founder of TerraCycle; Tim McCollum, co-founder of Madécasse; Peter Knight, co-founder of Generation Investment Management; Stanley M. Bergman, chairman and CEO of Henry Schein; Kelly Semrau, SVP of Global Affairs for SC Johnson; and Eileen Fisher, CEO and founder of Eileen Fisher.
