RSVP, Ticketing, and Name Cards

RSVP Information and Tickets to Stern's MBA and PhD Convocation

The RSVP window is now closed. All eligible graduates were able to request a maximum of five (5) e-tickets online during the RSVP period, which includes one (1) candidate ticket. If you missed the RSVP deadline, please email GraduateConvocation@stern.nyu.edu.

Electronic tickets are required for all candidates and their guests. Per Madison Square Garden policy, children under 2 years old may attend without their own ticket, but they must sit on a parent or guardian’s lap and may not occupy their own seat.

Accessing Your E-Tickets
Candidates will access and manage e-tickets by visiting the MSG Ticketmaster Account Manager website. To activate your account, enter your Stern email address (e.g., ab123@stern.nyu.edu) into the Sign In page and click “New to Ticketmaster? Sign Up.”

Transferring E-Tickets to Your Guests
The venue has also created a step-by-step video explainer to transfer tickets via TicketMaster Account Manager.

Candidates/guests may download the MSG App on mobile devices to access/manage e-tickets. Once the app is downloaded, candidates/guests can use their Account Manager login to access their account (no need to create a new account; use the Ticketmaster login). 

Prohibition of Ticket Sales: NYU strictly prohibits the direct or indirect sale or auction of Stern MBA and PhD Convocation tickets. Ticket(s) may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests, giveaways, or sweepstakes) or other trade or commercial purposes. Graduates engaging in such activities, as well as any other activity that disrupts the administration of the ceremony and/or violates any NYU student conduct policy, will be subject to NYU disciplinary sanctions, including without limitation the delayed issuance of a degree or diploma.

Name Card Distribution: In addition to a candidate e-ticket, graduates will also need to bring their name card, which will be required to cross the stage on-site on May 17. Name cards will be distributed by Stern administrators from KMC 10-165 on the following dates/times:

11:00 am - 2:00 pm | 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Wednesday, May 8
8:00 am – 9:30 am | 11:00 am - 2:00 pm | 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Thursday, May 9  – Friday, May 10
11:00 am - 2:00 pm | 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Monday, May 13
Noon - 2:00 pm | 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Tuesday, May 14 & Thursday, May 16
Noon - 2:00 pm

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • One (1) electronic ticket must be retained by the graduate for access to the venue on May 17. 
  • All event tickets will be general admission (no assigned seats on May 17), so please disregard assigned seat numbers on the e-ticket. Graduates are seated early and separately at the front of the theater upon arrival at 1:45pm ET.
  • Screenshots of tickets cannot be used to gain entry into the venue on May 17.
