NYU Stern Salomon Center, in partnership with Nasdaq OMX, recently hosted an all-day conference discussing the future of derivatives. New research in the area was presented by Stern faculty and faculty from other schools including Columbia Business School and UCLA.

6th Annual Satter Conference Explores Latest Strategies for Measuring Social Impact

Over 200 world-wide practitioners from the public, nonprofit and for-profit fields, along with leading scholars, convened for the Satter Conference on November 6. Hosted by Stern’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, the event followed a two-day academic conference featuring some of the latest research in the areas of social enterprise and measuring an organization’s social impact.

NYU Researchers Present Study Showing Education Primes the Pipeline of Innovative Entrepreneurs

On September 23, two teams of researchers reported on the first phase of their study on effective approaches to the training of prospective innovative entrepreneurs at NYU Stern. Innovative entrepreneurs develop new products or services using new methods to produce or deliver existing goods and services at a lower cost, whereas replicative entrepreneurs produce or sell goods or services that are already available in the marketplace.
