Professor Johannes Stroebel Named to Andrew Carnegie Fellows Class of 2022

On Tuesday April 26, 2022, Professor Johannes Stroebel was awarded an Andrew Carnegie Fellowship from the Carnegie Corporation of New York. The fellowship provides philanthropic grants to 28 fellows each year who conduct scholarly research in the social sciences and humanities, with the goal of addressing important and enduring issues in society. The award is for a period of up to two years and provides a $200,000 stipend to recipients.
Professor Stroebel’s project, “The Social Integration of International Migrants: Evidence from the Networks of Syrians in Germany,” investigates how successful efforts have been to socially integrate Syrian migrants in Germany, and to more broadly analyze what factors influence social integration.
