Only At Stern: Professor Amy Webb, One of the World’s Leading Minds on the Future and Technology

NYU Stern Adjunct Professor Amy Webb is a quantitative futurist and the CEO of the Future Today Institute. An expert on emerging technologies like AI and synthetic biology, she pioneered a data-driven foresight methodology to develop plausible future scenarios.

Professor Webb advises CEOs and government leaders at the White House, European Union, and United Nations to help organizations worldwide navigate uncertainty and disruptive change. Additionally, each year, Future Today Institute publishes its Tech Trends report which tracks how more than 700 technology and science trends will influence every industry. The report is downloaded more than 1 million times annually.

Professor Webb has also been recognized with several awards. To name a few, the BBC honored her as one of the 100 Top Women of 2020, Forbes called Professor Webb “one of the five women changing the world,” and Thinkers50 recognized her as the world’s #4 most influential management thinker in 2023.
