Excerpt from Financial Times — “This case provides rich material for discussions with Executive MBA students on competitive dynamics, information asymmetry and the economics of innovation in a course on microeconomics, game theory or competitive strategy. The article can be used to illustrate how decisions regarding the release or withholding of critical information can serve as strategic moves in a competitive game.”

Excerpt from Poets&Quants — "In the Khubani BTE program, we participate in a capstone project in our senior year where we find a problem and create a minimum viable product (MVP) for a solution we devise. The project is the culmination of all the work we have put in as entrepreneurs throughout our time in Stern’s BTE program. I am incredibly proud of the product my partner and I created. I believe we found a real opportunity to make work more fun and efficient that is worth pursuing further. Starting an entrepreneurial project takes a lot of time, effort, and comfort with uncertainty and I feel that I have grown significantly through the experience."

Excerpt from Poets&Quants — "The importance of mentorship. Beginning in my first week at NYU, I witnessed the deep-rooted practice of Stern upperclassmen giving back by speaking to new students and sharing their experiences. This culture of mentorship, embodied through coffee chats taking place in every corner of Tisch Hall, persisted throughout my time at Stern. I’ve benefited enormously from these conversations and strived to contribute to the Stern community as an upperclassmen orientation leader and peer mentor."

Excerpt from U.S. News & World Report -- "Starting the MBA admissions process with self-awareness is going to help an applicant better identify a short list of programs that are the right fit for their needs and aspirations, and will likely result in a stronger application with more authentic and connected essays," Loyd says.

Excerpt from Financial Times — “This article is an ideal introduction to the political-economic trade-off faced by the Trump administration. Reining in the market power of large technology companies by aggressively challenging the legality of some of their practices would likely result in lower prices and more choices for consumers — outcomes that appear to align with the administration’s policy priorities.”

NYU-Stern's own Jonathan Haidt will begin with the case he made in his global bestseller The Anxious Generation, about how the rapid transition from a "play-based childhood" to a "phone-based childhood" in the years between 2010 and 2015 changed the course of human development around the world. Haidt will then go far beyond the mental health impacts to discuss the damage done by phone-based life to education, attention, creativity, the economy, families, and democracy.
