On Tuesday, September 10, NYU Stern's Center for Global Economy and Business hosted the Fall Economic Outlook Forum featuring Matthew Luzzetti, Deutsche Bank; Aparna Mathur, Amazon; Solita Marcelli (MBA '06), UBS. The discussion was moderated by Professor Venky Venkateswaran, director, Center for Global Economy and Business.

The 22nd Annual IO Day workshop was held at NYU Stern on Friday, September 6th, 2024.

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, NYU Stern's Department of Accounting hosted the 2024 Junior Theory Conference. The conference aims to provide an opportunity for junior faculty and PhD students to exchange research ideas and stimulate new ideas and paths for theoretical accounting research.

Hosted by the NYU Stern Accounting Department, the conference aims to provide a forum for the exchange and flourishing of theoretical and theory-guided research in accounting. While the conference focuses on theoretical work, it also invites papers that are guided by economic theory but use other methodologies, such as reduced-form empirical archival research, structural estimation, and experimental research. The conference encourages crossovers with other areas of the social sciences that can contribute to, and benefit from, insights in accounting research. The conference featured paper presentations with a discussant assigned to each paper, as well as three keynote speakers.

Hosted by the NYU Stern Accounting Department, the objective of the summer school is to provide an introduction to accounting theory and structural estimation, in a manner that is self-contained for researchers from various backgrounds. The sessions are designed for PhD students and researchers with or without prior experience in the methods, who are interested in empirical research as well as in theoretical research.

Hosted by the NYU Stern Volatility and Risk Institute, the symposium "Market Microstructure and Financial Stability: Is There a Link?" is a joint initiative by the Jain Family Institute (JFI) and the Yale School of Management Financial Stability Program (YPFS).

After an intense five-month competition, NYU’s most promising innovators received startup funding and pro-bono services valued at more than $225,000 at NYU Stern’s annual Entrepreneurs Challenge, organized by the School’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship. The three winning teams were chosen after pitching their ideas and enduring Q&A by judges from peer accelerator programs, top NYC VC firms, and industry experts.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, NYU Stern Professor Scott Galloway spoke to an audience full of Stern students and alumni about his new book, The Algebra of Wealth: A Simple Formula for Financial Security. NYU Stern Chief Marketing Officer Beth Murray introduced Galloway.

On April 11th at 5:00 pm EDT, the NYU Stern Business & Society Program hosted the 2024 Ashok C. Sani Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence Lecture titled: "How Business Can Help to Stop Human Trafficking," delivered by Ruchira Gupta, Emmy Award-winning activist, author, journalist and founder of Apne Aap.

On Thursday, March 28, 2024, the Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance and the Fashion & Luxury MBA program hosted NYU Stern’s inaugural forum on destination urban retail strategy and real estate, titled “Reimagining Retail.”

The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business Annual Practice Forum is a highly anticipated industry event convening investor and corporate sustainability leaders for an exchange of the latest research and insights on sustainability in practice.
