—
Excerpt from ThinkProgress -- "[Spence] divided employment into two sectors. One sector is called tradable jobs – jobs where you make stuff like airplanes, cars, food and electronics that can be shipped and sold around the world. The second sector is called non-tradable jobs, which are jobs that can’t be traded, like real estate, hotel and restaurant workers, health care professionals and government jobs."
