We have traffic and we have consumers’ trust. - David Nenke
David Nenke, category leader for Grocery & Gourmet Food at Amazon.com, spoke with first-year MBA students for a special Block Time discussion titled, “The Amazon Way: Innovating at High Speed.” Nenke's talk focused on a unique business plan, which was generated by a summer intern and executed in less than 10 weeks as a new Amazon business.
He opened by saying that Amazon doesn’t use PowerPoint. Instead, they write memos that are packed with information. Describing the value that Amazon brings to any new business, Nenke said: “We have traffic and we have consumers’ trust.” He also described Amazon’s culture, saying that the company is very data-driven and never satisfied with the status quo.
