MVC + SWIB Veterans Day Dunk Tank Fundraiser
—
Come show your support for both the Military Veterans Club and Stern Women in Business at the Veterans Day Dunk Tank Fundraiser! All proceeds will be donated to Women for Afghan Women, described below. A roster of everyone being dunked (including Stern faculty/administration and Stern Student Government Leadership among others) will be posted prior to the event so you will be able to plan out who you want to dunk throughout the day!
While we encourage everyone to pre-purchase throws, you can also purchase them on-site!! We will have QR codes available for the event for you to scan, and will also accept cash for convenience. Please encourage your friends to come support, and dunk somebody for a good cause!
"Women for Afghan Women (WAW) is a grassroots civil society organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and New York. In particular, WAW works to help Afghan women and girls exercise their rights to pursue their individual potential to self-determination, and to representation in all areas of life—political, social, cultural, and economic. WAW relentlessly advocates for women’s rights and challenges the norms that underpin gender-based violence to influence attitudes and bring about change."
