Susan L. Jurevics, MBA '96

CEO, Pottermore

Susan L. Jurevics has substantial experience in global brand marketing and P&L management of leading entertainment, media and technology companies. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Pottermore from J. K. Rowling, the award-winning, digital commerce and community experience built around the Harry Potter stories.

Susan joined Pottermore after more than 12 years at Sony Corporation of America, where she pioneered its cross-company, entertainment marketing function. At Sony, she established its product placement discipline, creatively integrating thousands of Sony electronics products into Sony-produced theatrical, television and music content. Susan led coordinated, global campaigns across multiple Sony companies for devices featured in the James Bond and Spider-Man films. She consolidated Sony’s multi-million dollar annual media spend across a dozen companies in North America and re-architected Sony’s US digital presence. Her team’s creative work has won multiple awards from the Webby Awards, Telly Awards and the Web Marketing Association.

Susan’s prior experience includes senior brand and product marketing roles at Mattel and Nickelodeon. She earned an MBA in Marketing and International Business from NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and the Australian Graduate School of Management. She is a frequent lecturer in Stern’s Entertainment, Media & Technology academic program and is serving by appointment on Stern’s Alumni Council. Susan is a prior Chair of this Council and a recipient of the Stern Women in Business Distinguished Alumni Award. She serves as a trustee of the non-profit organization HealthCare Chaplaincy Network, Inc. She was named “Internationalist of the Year” by The Internationalist Magazine and received the Advertising Working Mother of the Year Award from the Advertising Women of New York and Working Mother Magazine.

Susan received an undergraduate degree in Visual Arts from the College of the Holy Cross and studied art at the University of London. She is relocating to London from New York City with her husband and two children.
