From corporate America to the arts to academia, Lisa Nicole Wilkerson has excelled in the storytelling industry at the highest levels. She is an award-winning Broadway actor, voiceover artist on an Emmy-nominated series, professor, speaker, and communication skills leadership and acting career coach.
As a New York University Stern School of Business adjunct professor, Lisa coaches Executive Education participants, teaches MBAs strategic communication skills, and serves as an actor-communication skills coach for EMBAs and MBAs in the Leadership Accelerator program. She has guided speech delivery for MPAs at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and facilitated communication skills workshops for Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Program and various NYU Stern alumni and school groups. Drawing on her expertise, Lisa created Broadway ConfidenceTM Coaching & Consulting, which integrates corporate communication strategies with “Broadway basics” -- performing arts tools and tactics -- to help business leaders hone their presentation skills and enhance their professional presence by being more grounded, compelling, and consistent. Her clients span journalism, law, medicine, business, and the arts, and include Tokio Marine North America Services, Convergent Energy and Power, Council for Urban Professionals (CUP), Broadway Inspirational Voices, and various NYC medical schools.
Lisa’s speaking philosophy centers on her signature slogan: “Everything You Need You Already Have, and Everything You Have Is Good EnoughTM.” She shares actionable methods and personal stories to inspire professionals and youth across business, the arts, sports, and not- for profits, with a mission to empower and motivate. She has served as a guest speaker or a storyteller at iconic venues like NYC’s historic Apollo Theater, and for organizations nationwide like Boston’s Horizons for Homeless Children, the internationally-popular annual Learning Conference in Orlando, and the Opportunity Nation bipartisan initiative launch.
Drawing from her experience working in consumer marketing PR at Burson-Marsteller, while performing in Broadway’s "The Lion King" Lisa co-founded Broadway in South Africa, a not for-profit that created cross-cultural exchange between South African youth and Broadway artists using their talents for change. Throughout her performance career, Lisa has held key leadership roles like serving as actor, dance captain, and fight captain in “The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess,” for which she won the Fred and Adele Astaire Award for Outstanding Female Dancer in a Broadway Show. Her numerous voiceover credits include the Emmy-nominated PBS American Masters UNLADYLIKE 2020 docuseries.
Lisa Nicole Wilkerson’s dynamic career -- spanning Broadway, broadcast, business, and academia -- reflects her unwavering commitment to storytelling, education, and empowering others to reach their fullest potential.
