MBA Students Take “Doing Business in… Brazil” Course
—
In January, a group of MBA students traveled to São Paulo for the “Doing Business in (DBi) Brazil” course. Students attended lectures at Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo on topics ranging from the Brazilian economy, culture and the financial system to supply chain logistics and the labor market. In addition, students met with corporate representatives from Natura and JWT and visited key social organizations, such as Teatro Municipal, Meninos do Morumbi and the Museu do Futebol.
“DBi Brazil offers a glimpse into the booming industries in São Paulo, the country’s business capital, while providing a high level understanding of the political, social and economic aspects of doing business in South America,” said MBA student Anjali Gupta. “Learning how to tackle some of the most challenging issues facing the region and to communicate effectively in this global market undoubtedly provides Stern students with a professional advantage after completing the MBA program.”
