NOTE ON FILE DOWNLOADS:
Double-clicking a link to an Excel file will cause that file to be opened with Excel.
Double-clicking a link to a text file or a description file will cause that file to be opened to a new window in your browser. (This is also true for a Minitab *.mtp file, but the next note is more directly relevant.)
Double-clicking a link to a Minitab file will NOT cause that file to be opened with Minitab. Instead, right-click and then choose Save Link As, and send the link to your desktop. Double-clicking that link on the desktop will cause the file to be opened with Minitab, provided that Windows recognizes the file extension. Usually this detail gets set up when you install Minitab. If you have difficulties, please see the next note.
To set up file extensions for Windows, do Start > Settings > Control Panel. Then choose Folder Options, and select the tab for File Types. Then click on New. There are three file extensions used by Minitab: mtp, mtw, and mpj.
