Choose from a diverse and multi-faceted set of degree programs and other academic opportunities to chart the path that is best suited to your goals.

As an incoming first-year, you were admitted into one of three degree programs:

• BS in Business Program
• BS in Business and Political Economy (BPE) Program
• Anand Khubani BS in Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship (BTE) Program 

Once enrolled in the Business Program, you may apply for admission into the following Dual-Degree Programs:

• BS in Business/MS in Accounting as a sophomore or junior
• BS in Business/BFA in Film and TV through Stern/Tisch as a first-year or sophomore

We developed the following guiding educational principles as the foundational goals for our degree programs. These goals describe the knowledge, skills, and values that we expect you to have attained upon completion of your undergraduate program study.
 

BS in Business

Achieve proficiency

You will achieve professional levels of competence in core functions of business, including oral and written communication.

Intellectualism

You will exhibit intellectual curiosity, high levels of intellectual engagement, and open-mindedness to new ideas and alternative points of view.

Collaboration

You will develop the skills needed to thrive in groups, organizations, and communities.

Social impact

You will achieve an understanding of the role of business within our global society.

BS in Business and Political Economy 

Achieve proficiency

You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the political economy’s approach to the analysis of social phenomena, and in particular of those arising from interactions directly involving businesses. You will exhibit ownership of analytical and empirical methods commonly used in the study of such phenomena, and prove to be able to competently and effectively communicate the results of their intellectual work.

Intellectualism

You will exhibit intellectual curiosity, high levels of intellectual engagement, and open-mindedness to new ideas and alternative points of view.

Global experiences

You will demonstrate (i) knowledge of how heterogeneity in cultural and institutional conditions may lead societies to make different collective choices when facing similar challenges, (ii) understanding of how the international movement of goods and services, capital, people, and ideas can lead to material spillover effects of such choices on other countries, and (iii) awareness of the conditions under which international cooperation may be needed in order to achieve efficient and/or equitable allocations of resources.

BS in Business Technology and Entrepreneurship

Achieve proficiency

You will achieve professional levels of competence in core functions of business and technology, including written communication skills, and understanding of the principal approaches of entrepreneurial thinking and action.
 

Technology Fluency

You will understand fundamental computer science principles that allow for easy adaptation as computer science evolves.  You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of essential facts, concepts, and principal approaches relating to computer science and software applications.

Intellectualism

You will exhibit intellectual curiosity, high levels of intellectual engagement, and open mindedness to new ideas and alternative points of view.
 

Social Impact

You will achieve understanding of the role of business within our global society.
